As a teacher by trade, I am so excited to see teachers learning how to market our resources. Teachers are usually a creative bunch since we have scads of students with different learning styles coming from different backgrounds, all of which we need to teach very specific things. It is this creativity that has found it’s niche in the business world. TeachersPayTeachers is a website that started a few years ago where educators can post their education creations for sale in their own personal “store” online and other teachers can purchase their goods. Most of the goods are digital files, although there is an option for selling hard goods. In the last year or two, this one of a kind website has seen million dollar profits for some of it’s sellers. This has created such a great incentive for teachers to improve and create goods that are marketable to others. Finding this one of a kind niche for them has been very profitable for them as well as the teachers who sell on their website.
